In today’s Author Interview, our guest is Tristan St. Reynolds.

Tristan’s journey in writing books started during the COVID-19 pandemic. Despite his initial doubts, Tristan created an Oracle Card Deck and two Kindle books, showing his passion and perseverance. Inspired by folklore and Myth, his work features characters and themes that encourage readers to pursue their own paths. Besides writing, Tristan is also involved in acting, modeling, and fitness instruction, promoting work that’s created with care and understanding. As the interview ends, Tristan’s advice to our readers is to follow their heart and start their own creative endeavors.
– Please, tell us a little about yourself… Do you recall how your interest in writing originated? Do you consider writing as a career?
“I never really saw myself as a writer but figured during COVID-19 that I would give it a shot. I remember a distinct comment that I would not be able to make a deck of Oracle Cards… so I did. Writing from both knowledge and the heart of how you feel really works.”

– What inspired you to write your first book?
“My first Book is an Oracle Card Deck and it was inspired to both show I could do, but also complete, a project I had always thought of but never started. At this stage I’ve got 2 Kindle books and 1 Oracle Deck; They all have a place in my heart and in the library of readers.”

– What is your writing process? Do you draw inspiration on someone you know, or events in your own life?
“I find it easy to construct characters and cards off of folklore and myth. My card meanings and the Creatures pull from friends and family as well as what feels right with the Myth where my need to honour those who inspire me is always there. Card users or readers should really go with what and who resonates with them because it flows much easier.”

– What was the first book you’ve ever read?
“I remember reading many books as a child but my first card deck I actually owned was about astrology. I like Kyle Grays stuff but draw from other creators around me.”
We should never deal in ideas we are not knowledgable of or that may not be for a greater good

– Do you consider writing as a career?
“I am more than a writer. I do Acting, Model work and Fitness work too. I teach Yoga and Pilates. I am able to say I have a variety of skills.”

– What do you do in your spare time besides writing?
“I spend my spare time relaxing but love the idea of spending time thinking and feeling good too.”

– Do you have anything specific that you want to say to your readers?
“I say follow your heart when it comes to creating a book or even a deck. Its super important to come from a place of care, understanding and always of good. We should never deal in ideas we are not knowledgable of or that may not be for a greater good.”
